The following is an introduction to PCB engineers, centered around the three areas of concept, job description and career requirements.
PCB Engineers are a class of specialized technicians responsible for designing, debugging, fabricating and maintaining PCBs and solving related technical problems. In their work, they perform PCB design and modification, perform alignment of specified parts of complex PCBs, perform debugging related to the designed PCBs and SI simulation of specified parts, assist in the generation and maintenance of schematic diagrams, PCB Layout, and related production data generation.
In addition to this, PCB engineers are required to follow up the PCB board making and SMT process, and work closely with related departments and suppliers to solve related problems. They also need to produce and maintain PCB standard package libraries and standard wiring modules, and write relevant PCB development and debugging logs. Therefore, PCB engineers need to have strong design skills, communication skills and problem solving skills.
Education and training, PCB engineers need to have communications, electronic engineering, computer-related disciplines with a bachelor's degree or above. PCB engineers are divided into entry-level, junior, intermediate and senior levels, need to have extensive work experience and proficiency in PCB veneer process, PCB inspection standards. In addition, proficiency in the use of Protel, PowerPCB, Powerlogic, Pads2007, Mentor EE, ALLEGRO and other common PCB design software, to be able to document conversion, innovative and able to put forward a variety of constructive proposals to improve the efficiency of PCB design work is also an important skill for PCB engineers.
