What is the difference between electronic components in PCBA processing?

In PCBA processing, SMD components and plug-in components are used. What is the difference between SMD components and plug-in components?

1、 Differences between the two:

1. SMD components are small in size and light in weight, and easier to weld than plug-in components.

2. One of the most important advantages of SMD is to improve the stability and reliability of the circuit; Because the SMD components have no leads, stray electric and magnetic fields are reduced, which is particularly effective in high-frequency analog circuits and high-speed digital circuits.

2、 Welding method of both

1. Welding method of SMD components:
Place the components on the bonding pad, apply the adjusted paster solder paste on the contact between the component surface and the bonding pad, and then use a 20W internally heated electric soldering iron to heat the connection between the bonding pad and the paster components (the temperature should be 220~230 ℃). Remove the electric soldering iron when the soldering tin is melted, and complete the welding after the soldering tin is solidified. After welding, you can use tweezers to clamp the components to be welded to see if they are loose. If they are not loose, it means that the welding is good. If they are loose, you should reapply solder paste and weld again according to the above method.

2. Welding method of plug-in components:
When soldering all pins, solder should be added to the tip of the soldering iron, and all pins should be coated with flux to keep the pins wet. Contact the end of each pin of the chip with a soldering iron tip until solder flows into the pin. After all pins are soldered, wet the pins with flux to clean the soldering tin, so as to eliminate any short circuit and overlap. Finally, use tweezers to check whether there is faulty soldering. After the inspection, remove the flux from the circuit board and carefully wipe the hard brush along the pin direction with alcohol until the flux disappears.
